Soviet Russian USSR WWII medal Order of the Red Star with serial number in the 3.6 million range awarded in 1978 to. At the time of awarding, he was head of DOSAAF at the oblast (province) level in Ukraine, but the award was issued in Moscow at the Headquarters of DOSAAF!

Tyukhanov joined the Soviet Navy at age 16 and fought in WWII. He was a relative of General of the Army Stanislav Postnikov and is remembered fondly in Postnikov's memoirs (see images).
