During WWII, he was decorated several times for his tireless efforts to arm and outfit the artillery of the formations in which he served, personally inspecting the state of artillery on the front lines. In addition to the present Red Star, he earned the Combat Service Medal in 1942, Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class in 1945, and Polish Medal for Merits in the Field of Glory in Bronze.
Later, for long service, he received a Combat Service medal, Red Star, Red Banner, and Order of Lenin. As seen in the images!
